Crawfordsville, August 4 - Funeral services were held here Sunday afternoon at the Proffitt & Sons funeral home for William Stephens, 68, who died last Friday evening at the Soldiers Home hospital, Lafayette. Rev. Claude Ward and Rev. E.A. Arthur conducted the services, and burial took place at Darlington. Harry B. Smith Camp No. 65, U.W.W.V., of the Soldiers Home, conducted rites at the grave. Quite a number of auxiliary members from the home attended the funeral. Stephens belonged to Company M. 158th Indiana Volunteers, of which Rev. Arthur was chaplain. He was a member of the Smith camp, U.S.W.V. – thanks to Kim H
